Proteus Pictures LLC was created in 2009 by Matthew Montgomery as a way to take control and further advance his growing career in the world of independent cinema. As an emerging producer and award-winning actor within the independent film world, he has been involved in over a dozen feature films and continues to be a fixture within the GLBT independent film circuit.
Since 2006, Matthew has been producing independent feature films alongside brother company, Guest House Films, with co-founders, Rob Williams and Rodney Johnson. Througout this time, he has managed to work with Guest House Films on all four of their current titles, including the most recent festival award-winning feature film, Make the Yuletide Gay, starring Adamo Ruggiero (Degrassi: The Next Generation), Alison Arngrim (Nellie Oleson from Little House on the Prairie), Gates McFadden (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Ian Buchanan (Daytime Emmy Award winner for The Bold and the Beautiful), Hallee Hirsh (ER), Kelly Keaton (Back Soon), Derek Long (Socket) and newcomer Keith Jordan.
With Proteus Pictures, Matthew has opened its doors collaborating with Guest House Films on his company’s debut film, Sticke Figures, currently in pre-production and slated for a Fall 2009 shoot.
